RICEVILLE, IOWA - Leo Wallace, 79, of Riceville, died Monday (Dec. 23, 1996) at the Riceville Community Rest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville, with the Rev. Herschel Hawf officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Lindstrom Funeral Home.

Leo was born May 18, 1917, at Rudd, Floyd county, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Riceville; three sons, Karman of Richardson, Texas, Curtis of Riceville, and Gerald of Estherville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Milo of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Melbourne of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and one sister, Adeline Lubbert of Riceville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Services for Leo Wallace of Riceville were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 27, 1996, at Lindstrom Funeral Home. The Rev. Herschel Hawf officiated. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery with Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died Monday, December 23, 1996, at Riceville Community Rest Home.

Leo was born May 18, 1917, at Rudd, Iowa, the son of Harry and Gladys Jester Wallace. He lived in the Cresco and Osage area and received his education in Mitchell County.

In 1940 he married Dorothy Gay. He farmed for a few years, did trucking and then Leo was in the livestock business. Leo was a member of the Riceville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy; three sons, Karman of Richardson, Texas; Curtis of Riceville; and Gerald of Estherville, Iowa; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Milo of Jacksonville, Arkansas; Melbourne (Bud) of Minneapolis; and one sister, Mrs. Bernard (Adeline) Lubbert of Riceville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Francis.
