Mrs. Fred Birum dies at Osage; Rites pending

OSAGE, IOWA — Mrs. Fred Birum, 72, died of a heart attack at her home here Monday night.

Born in Osage on December 2, 1889, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Virchow. She was married in September 1909. The couple had lived at Amarillo, Texas, and Osage and retired in 1944.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Roy, Osage; Dale Oakland, Calif.; three grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Champion Funeral Home.

Osage rites set for Mrs. Birum

OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Birum, 72, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Mrs. Birum died of a heart attack at her home here Monday night.
