OBITUARY: Charles F. Hockens, 1914-1997

OSAGE, IOWA-- Charles F. Hockens, 82, of Osage, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 30th, at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage, with the Rev. Ted Stowers and the Rev. Jerry Newland officiating. Burial will be in the Little Cedar Cemetery, with graveside military rites by the Osage American Legion Post 278 and Osage VFW Post #7920.

Charles F. Hockens was born on November 29, 1914, near Little Cedar, Mitchell county, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Ferne Hockens, Osage; one son, Wendell Hockens, Omaha, Neb.; one daughter, Judy Wilkes, Riceville; four grand-children; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
