OBITUARY: Verna May (Mosher) Hill, 1896-1935
Verna May Hill
Verna May Mosher was born on the 30th of March, 1896, and spent her early life in or near Little Cedar and Riceville. She was married to Fred Hill on the 26th of August, 1922. Here, at the home near Little Cedar, her only daughter Glenna, was born; and here in the early hours of the morning of the 19th of June she passed to her reward at the age of 39 years, 2 months, and 16 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing, a loving and devoted husband; a daughter and a stepson; a brother, Charles Mosher, at St. Charles, Missouri; four sisters: Mrs. Alice Asfahl, Mrs. Edith Asfahl, Mrs. Gertrude Rogers, and Mrs. Martha Noble, all of Riceville, besides a host of sympathizing friends and relatives.
For nearly seven years past, Mrs. Hill has been a sufferer from a pain-wracked body, and a constantly-lessening physical resistance in spite of the best of medical skill and the loving care of her husband.
She has been a member of the Baptist church for a long period of time.
