Funeral services for Emil C. Kroneman, 86, who died January 31, 1967, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, were held February 3, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell county, Iowa.

Emil Carl [August] Kroneman, son of Carl and Augusta [Ueker] Kroneman, was born September 6, 1880 in Rock Township, Mitchell county, Iowa. He was baptized Sept. 19, 1880 by Rev. J.L. Zeilinger, and confirmed April 15, 1894.

He attended the rural school near his home. Mr. Kroneman was married to Mary Neuman on November 17, 1907. He farmed in Worth and Mitchell counties until retiring to St. Ansgar in 1948.

Nine children were born to this union: Mrs. Clarence (Laura) Wilde of Mitchell; Alvin of Mitchell; Mrs. Harold (Grace) Tabbert, St. Ansgar; Lloyd of Plymouth; Mrs. Leroy (Myrtle) Miller of St. Ansgar; George of Mitchell; Mrs. Justin (Clara) Ones of Osage; Reuben of Mitchell; and Glenn of St. Ansgar.

Mr. Kroneman was a faithful church member and enjoyed fairly good health until about a year ago. He became seriously ill Janaury 12 when he entered Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage. He reached the age of 86 years, four months, and 25 days.

He is survived by his nine children, 43 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, who died September 25, 1966; also two brothers and two sisters.

Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. Jacobs in charge of committal services.
