Funeral services will be held today, Wed., January 27, 1988 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, for Gertrude Colton, 84, of Osage. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery. Mrs. Colton died Sunday, January 24, 1988 at an Osage nursing home.

Mrs. Colton was born April 27, 1903 at Meyer, iowa, to John and Sophia (Braun) Pint. She attended Meyer schools through age 11 when she moved to Osage with her parents, and attended schools there.

On Nov. 23, 1921 she married Leslie Colton in Osage. The couple moved to a farm in East Lincoln Township where they farmed for 43 years.

Following her husband's death, Mrs. Colton moved to Osage. She was a resident of Faith Home, Osage, since 1972.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant son; a grandson; two sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include a son, Richard of Osage; five grandchidlren; two sisters, Bertha Michels and Ida Novotny both of Osage; and a brother, Joe Pint of Decorah.
