Engebretson Rites Set for Saturday
OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral rites will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home
for Ed Engebretson, 76, who died Wednesday at his Osage home from a cardiac attack.Burial will be In the Osage Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Johnson.
His wife, Alice, four daughters, two sons, six grandchildren, and a sister survive her.

Ed Engebretson Dies;
Funeral SaturdayFuneral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home for Ed Engebretson, 77, of Osage, who died Wednesday at him home here. Death was caused from a cardiac condition from which he has suffered for a year. [He died February 27, 1957.]
Rev. Paul R. Johnson, pastor of the Methodist church, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Eloi Edward Engebretson was born September 27, 1880, at Meroa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Engebretson. He attended the rural schools in the Rock Creek community, where he grew to manhood.
He was married April 24, 1917 to Alice Richardson of Osage. They have lived in Osage and St. Ansgar. He had been employed at the Cedar Valley Produce for a number of years.
Survivors included his widow, Alice, six children: Mrs. Garland Olson of Chicago; Mrs. Fred Wieland Jr., of Osage; Charles of Elma; Merlyn, Mrs. Walter Martin and Joan of Osage; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Maude Herzog who is a resident of a nursing home in Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
