Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. H.K. Dahl, 73, who died from pneumonia, Sunday, April 18, following a short illness. Services were held from the home at 1:45 and from the First Lutheran church at 2:00, with Rev. Olaf A. Langehough in charge. Interment was in the First Lutheran cemetery.

Christina Nelson Dahl, daughter of Iver and Ingeborg Nelson, was born May 7, 1863 at Calmar, Iowa. She was baptized by Rev. Koren of the Norwegian Lutheran church. At the age of four years she moved with her parents to a farm three and one-half miles south of St. Ansgar where she grew to womanhood. On September 28th, 1878 she was confirmed at the Norwegian Lutheran church by Rev. J. Olson.

April 9, 1885, she was married to H.K. Dahl of St. Ansgar, by Rev. J. Olsen. To this union four children were born. On April 9, 1935 Mr. and Mrs. Dahl observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary.

Since a young girl, Mrs. Dahl has been an active member in the Ladies' Aid society and was a charter member of that church group. As a tribute of love and appreciation the First Lutheran Aid of St. Ansgar in 1935 placed her name on the honor roll of the Women's Missionary Federation as a life member.

Mrs. Dahl has been an active energetic woman all her life and has taken her place in home and church activities up until she was taken ill with pneumonia Sunday, April 11, and one week later she passed away.

She is survived by her husband, H.K. Dahl, four children; Carl Dahl, Iver Dahl, Irene Groth of St. Ansgar and Elmer Dahl of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Sever Nelson, St. Ansgar, and Mrs. T.O. Narveson, Albert Lea; two brothers, Narve Nelson, Lake Mills, Ole Nelson, Spokane, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers were; H.O. Hendrickson, John A. Weiger, Rudolph Helfritz, A.T. Wold, A.E. Sponheim, and T.H. Hume.

Those who attended the services from away were; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dahl, Howard, Noraine, Ronald, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. T.O. Narveson, Mrs. Carl Knudsen, Mrs. Willard McCracken, Albert Lea; Mrs. Wm. Seater, Walter Seater, Mrs. May Somerway and daughter, Alice, St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Samuelson, Forest City; Mr. and Mrs. Irving A. Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nash, Mr. and Mrs. Narve Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tidemanson, Lake Mills; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nelson, Northwood; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Heil, Minneapolis.
