Funeral services for Mrs. Lars Dybsjord were held at the home in St. Ansgar on Wednesday at 1:45 and at the First Lutheran church at 2:00 o'clock. Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery. The Rev. Olaf A. Langehough was in charge of the obsequies.
Mrs. Kari Oppedal Dybsjord was born in Hardanger, Norway, March 21, 1866. She was baptized and confirmed in Ulensvang Lutheran church in Hardanger. In 1890 she came to Rock Creek and on February 4, 1893 she was united in marriage to Lars Dybsjord. They settled on a farm five miles south of St. Ansgar, where they remained about five years and then spent nine months in Norway. They returned to the United States and purchased a farm two miles west of St. Ansgar, on which place they remained until 1920, then moving to St. Ansgar where they have since resided.
Mr. Dybsjord passed away August 1, 1940 and since his passing Mrs. Dybsjord spent much of her time with her children. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.M. Rierson, at Boone, Iowa, August 31st.
She leaves to mourn, her two children, Mrs. Dora Rierson of Boone, and Oscar of Waterloo. Also surviving are one brother, Elling Oppedal of Duluth, and a brother and sister in Norway and four grandchildren. One child and her husband preceded her in death.
