Funeral services for Carl I. Dahl, 84, who died at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center Sunday, July 25, were held Tuesday, July 27 at First Lutheran church here with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating.
Carl Irving Dahl was born November 4, 1886 in rural St. Ansgar, the son of Halvor and Christine Dahl. He was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran church here, and remained a member until his death.
He attended school and the Seminary at St. Ansgar. March 5, 1908 he married Ida Halvorson, and five children were born to them. Except for living 14 years in North Dakota, he spent his entire life in the St. Ansgar area. He farmed for some years and was employed by the St. Ansgar Produce. He was custodian of the First Lutheran church for a number of years, was a member of the St. Ansgar Volunteer Fire Department, Street Commissioner and was also a painter.
Mr. Dahl is survived by three children; Mrs. Harold (Clarice) Cawelti of Northwood; Mrs. Donald (DeLois) Seater, Northwood; Everett Dahl of Berryville, Ark; one step grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Irene Groth of St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two infant daughters, his parents and two brothers.
Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Comnick in charge of the committal service.

#2:ST. ANSGAR - Services for Carl I. Dahl, 84, who died Sunday at a nursing home here will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church; burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Howard Cawelti and Mrs. Donald Seater, both of Northwood; one son, Everett of Berryville, Arkansas; one step-grandchild, and one sister, Mrs. Irene Groth of St. Ansgar.
