OSAGE, IOWA - Norbert Mullenbach, 76, of Osage died Wednesday (Jan. 23, 2002) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Norbert F. Mullenbach, 76, of Osage passed away Wed., Jan. 23, 2002, at St. Mary's hospital.

Norbert, the son of Steve and Katie (Huemann) Mullenbach, was born November 29, 1925, in Stacyville, Iowa.

He married Irene Johanns on April 11, 1953, in New Haven. They farmed south of Stacyville until their retirement when they moved to Osage.

He enjoyed a good card game, cribbage, bowling or just visiting with his family and friends. He loved gardening, farming and raising and working with his Percheron Draft Horses.

Norbert was very active in the community serving on Boards at Visitation Catholic Church, the Stacyville Coop Elevator, and the ASCS. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, Osage; sons, Michael (Linda), St. Ansgar; Mark (Carol), Little Cedar; Steve, Balsam Lake, Wis.; daughters, Mary Ann, Minneapolis; Lisa Roe, Waverly; 11 grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Zola) of Stacyville; sisters, Helen Brown, Brighton, Col.; Dorothy McCarthy (Tom), McIntire; and two sister-in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, three brothers, and one sister.

Visitation: Fri. Jan. 25, 2002, 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 7 p.m.

Service: Sat. Jan. 26, 2002, 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, with the Fr. Philip Recker officiating.

Interment: 1 p.m., Visitation Catholic Cemetery, Stacyville.

Funeral Home: Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage.

Memorials: To a scholarship fund at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage.
