Stacyville, Iowa — Edward Peter Bartholmey was born Sept. 26, 1898, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bartholmey of Stacyville.

He spent his entire life in this community, where he followed the trade of carpenter and painter. He was a member of Visitation Church.

He leaves his wife, Monica and five children, Mrs. Clarence Scott, Akron, Ohio; Gervase M., Galveston, Texas; Dorothy, Cedar Falls; Duane and Allene Ann, at home; three grandchildren; he also leaves four brothers, and three sisters, Aloys and Alex, St. Paul, Minn.; Clem, of Milwaukee, Wis.; Joe, Stacyville; Mrs. Tillie Thome, Stacyville; Mrs. Frank Kingfield, Sac City; and Mrs. Verle McMahon, of Spring Valley, Minnesota.

One brother, Albert, and one sister, Mary, preceded him in death.

His funeral was held Wednesday.
