Mrs. Arthur (Agnes Marie) DeVriendt, 59, rural Toeterville, Iowa, died Thursday afternoon at her farm home. Dr. G. E. Krepelka, Osage, Mitchell County examiner, said it was a suicide.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Keith Gunsallus, Grafton, Iowa; two sons, Raymond, Milwaukee, and Robert of Aurora, Colo.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at St. Ansgar.

Funeral Held For Mrs. Art DeVriendt

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Ansgar Catholic church for Mrs. Arthur DeVriendt, 59, who died at her home last Thursday. She was found in the basement of their farm home by her husband. She died of a broken neck, according to Dr. G.E. Krepelka, as the result of hanging.

The Rev. John Moran, church pastor, was in charge of the services and burial was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery. Arrangements were by Schroder and Houg of St. Ansgar.

Agnes Moeykens was born Nov. 2, 1906, near Austin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Moeykens. She was educated in the rural schools of Mower county.

Following her marriage to Arthur DeVriendt they farmed near Austin for three years and at their present farm near Toeterville the past 26 years. She was employed at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in St. Ansgar at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; three children, Robert, with the military service in Aurora, Colo.; Raymond of Milwaukee; Mrs. Keith Gunsallus, Mary Ann, of Kensett; five grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest Moeykens of Madison,Wis;.,Lawrence and Clarence Moeykens of Austin; and one sister, Mrs. Steve Noble of Austin.
