St. Ansgar, Iowa — Word was received here of the death of Mrs. Glenn Kittleson at a Mankato, Minn., hospital where she was taken Wednesday evening after suffering a stroke while practicing with the church choir at her home town, Lake Crystal, Minnesota.

Mrs. Kittleson, before her marriage was Della Nicholson, one of the twin daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nicholson whose farm home was seven miles west of St. Ansgar.

Flies to Funeral

St. Ansgar, Iowa — Mrs. W. H. Rosensteed [SIC?] of Fairbanks, Alaska, came by plane to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Glenn Kittleson.

She left Fairbanks, Alaska, Friday at 8 a. m., had a 4-hour wait in Seattle, Wash., and arrived at Minneapolis at 7 a.m. Saturday.

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Funeral services for Mrs. Glenn Kittleson, 43, who died at her home in Lake Crystal, Minn., were held at the Methodist church at St. Ansgar Monday. She leaves her husband and 2 sons, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Mrs. Glen Kittleson, formerly of St. Ansgar, January 27, at Lake Crystal, Minn.

Born Della Dorothy Nicholson, at Carpenter, Mitchell county, Iowa, May 11, 1905, to Charles and Bertha Nicholson.

On October 21, 1924, she was married to Glen Kittleson of St. Ansgar, and to this union two sons, Glen Dale and Robert Wayne, were born. They spent their early married life in the neighborhood of St. Ansgar and Carpenter, in the spring of 1940 they moved to Lake Crystal.

She was active in civic and religious groups, having served as president of the Lake Crystal Garden club; member of the Eastern Star, was instrumental in organizing the Band Mothers, and was active in the Legion Auxiliary. Delia was a member of the Methodist church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Mrs. Walter Koon, Mrs. George Ruffridge, and Helen, in childhood; two brothers, Merle Nicholson and Glen, in infancy.

She leaves her husband; two sons, Glen Dale and Robert Wayne; four brothers, Earl and Harold, Carpenter; Elmer, Plymouth, and Wilbur, Amboy, Minn; three sisters Mrs. W. H. Rostensteed, Fairbanks, Alaska, who came by plane to attend the funeral; Mrs. August Geist, Mason City, and her twin sister, Mrs. Clarence Plowman, Northwood.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at Lake Crystal, Minnesota and at St. Ansgar Methodist Church on Monday. Burial was at St. Ansgar.

The name Rosensteel appeared variably as Rosensteed or Rostensteed, above, but it is believed that the correct spelling is Rosensteel.
