Rex Moore

OSAGE - Rex Moore, 65, died Saturday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Champion Funeral Home. The Reverend R. W. Cockshoot Jr., of the Episcopal Church at Charles City, and the Reverend James A. Peck, Worthington, Minnesota, will officiate. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Born April 8, 1898, in Omaha, Nebraska, he graduated from Iowa State University. He was a coach and teacher at Riceville many years before entering the insurance and farm management business here. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Rotary Club, American Legion and was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Clarence (Jacquelyn) Carney, Sioux City, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sybil St. John, last June; a sister, Margaret, and a daughter, Patricia.
