OBITUARY: Bonnie (Winter) Kroneman, 1946-2004

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Sioux Falls, S.D., for Bonnie L. (Winter) Kroneman, age 58, of Sioux Falls. Rev. Laura Borman officiated and burial was in the Hills of Rest Memorial Park, Sioux Falls. She died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004.

Bonnie was born August 28, 1946 at Canby, Minn. She was baptized at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Canby and grew up in that area and graduated from Canby High School with honors. She then attended the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minn. where she graduated with honors and began her career as a Registered Nurse at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Larry Kroneman on May 12, 1973 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Canby, Minn. Larry's career took them around the area and she worked at various hospitals until moving to Sioux Falls in 1979 where she worked for Sioux Valley Hospital and currently was the Oncology Coordinator at Sioux Valley Hospital.

She was an active member of Wesley Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her son, Eric who died May 12, 1999 and her father, Harry, who died November 6, 1999.

Grateful for sharing her life are her husband, Larry Kroneman of Sioux Falls, S.D., a son, Peter Kroneman of Northfield, Minn., her mother, Doris Winter of Canby, Minn., two brothers, Duane Winter of Canby, Minn. and Allan Winter and his wife, Gaye of Canby, Minn.; two nephews, Christian and Andrew Winter and a host of other relatives.

Area relatives of Bonnie's husband, Larry, include two sisters, Lorraine Kroneman of Forest City and Lorna (Kroneman) Gerk and husband Tom, of Osage, two aunts, Wanda and Dwight Crom of Northwood and Margaret and J.L. Christiansen of Osage.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Bonnie L. Kroneman, 58, of 47552 Neener Circle, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at Avera McKennan Hospital from complications from an automobile accident last week.

Service begins at 1:00 PM Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with burial at Hills of Rest Memorial Park.

There will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM Friday at Wesley United Methodist Church.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to each service.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church After School Program in memory of Bonnie.

Bonnie Lou Winter, daughter of Harry and Doris (Rehn) Winter, was born August 28, 1946 at Canby, Minnesota. She was baptized at St. Stephens Lutheran Church and confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Canby. Bonnie grew up in that area attending rural schools, and graduated as a distinct honor student from Canby High School in 1964. She then attended Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN where she graduated with honors, and beginning her career as a Registered Nurse at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Bonnie was united in marriage with Larry Kroneman on May 12, 1973, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Canby, Minnesota. Larry's career took them around the area where she worked a various hospitals until moving to Sioux Falls in 1979 when she began working for Sioux Valley Hospital. She was currently working as the Oncology Coordinator at Sioux Valley Hospital.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Sunday school program, the after school program, sang in the choir, and many other church activities. Bonnie enjoyed gardening flowers, light handwork sewing, and was an avid reader.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Larry Kroneman, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a son, Peter Kroneman, Northfield, Minnesota; her mother, Doris Winter, Canby, Minnesota; two brothers, Duane Winter, Canby, Minnesota, Allan Winter and his wife, Gaye, Canby, Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Kroneman, Forest City, Iowa, Lorna (Kroneman) Gerk, Osage, Iowa; aunts, Wanda Crom, Northwood, Iowa, Margaret Christiansen, Osage, Iowa; two nephews, Christian and Andrew Winter; niece, Tonya Boeshart, Clear Lake, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Eric, who died May 12, 1999; and her father, Harry, who died November 6, 1999.
