Mrs. P.P. Blackstad died at 2 o'clock Friday morning, after a short illness, at the residence of her mother, Mrs. A. Erickson west of town, from consumption. Deceased was born and raised in Newburg township and was a young lady highly respected by all.

She was married about one year ago to Peter P. Blackstad. A daughter was born to them two weeks ago and the results of that birth seems to have hastened the lady's death. The family has the sympathy of all in this their hour of poignant grief. The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church Sunday and were largely attended.

Mr. Peter P. Blackstad and Miss Tena Erickson were united in marriage on Saturday last at 2 o'clock p.m. at the home of the bride's mother, two miles west from St. Ansgar. About one hundred and fifty invited guests were present to witness the ceremony, extend congratulations and have a good time generally. The young people are well and favorably known and were the recipients of many fine gifts by their admiring relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Blackstad will made St. Ansgar their home.
