Mrs. Carrie Beck was born at Dodgeville, Wis., June 24, 1867. She was baptized in the Lutheran church at Dodgeville and was confirmed by Rev. J. Olson at the Lutheran church at St. Ansgar. She was married on October 2, 1901, at Owatonna, Minn., to Mr. Charley Beck, who preceded her in death several years ago.

Mrs. Beck has had good general health until recently, when she was taken with heart trouble, which combined with apoplexy, ended her life suddenly on January 16. She leaves to mourn her loss, her mother, her two sisters, Dolly Anderson and Mrs. August Schraeder and one brother, Al--d Anderson who was hindered from being present at the funeral.

The funeral took place at the First Lutheran church at St. Ansgar, January 20, 1920, Rev. M.E. Waldeland officiating and her remains were laid in rest at the Evergreen cemetery, north of town.
