MRS. ELLEN PLUNKETT
Mrs. Ellen Plunkett, age 77, died Sunday at Waterloo, Iowa.
A former resident of Osage. she is survived by five daughters: Miss Viola Plunkett, Mrs. Madison Humphrey, Mrs. Merwin Marr, Waterloo, Mrs. Gerald Quinn, Austin, Mrs. Marvin Wetter, Orchard, Iowa; two sons, Frank of Blooming Prairie, Paul, serving with the Navy at Corpus Christi, Texas; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Hoisinton, Charles City, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at New Haven, Iowa.

MRS. ELLEN PLUNKETTOSAGE, IOWA - Services are tentatively set for Wednesday morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church, New Haven, for Mrs. Ellen Plunkett, 77, who died Sunday night at the Americana Nursing Home in Waterloo, Iowa, where she had been a resident since last fall. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Frank, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, and Paul with the Navy at Corpus Christi, Texas; five daughters: Miss Viola Plunkett, Mrs. Madison Humphrey, and Mrs. Merwin Marr, all of Waterloo, Mrs. Marvin Wetter, Orchard, and Mrs. Gerald Quinn of Austin, Minnesota; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Hoisington, Charles City.
Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.

FUNERAL HELD FOR MRS. ELLEN PLUNKETT
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Plunkett, 77, formerly of Osage and more recently of Waterloo, were held March 2, 1966, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Haven. Mrs. Plunkett died February 27, 1966, at a nursing center in Waterloo.
The Rev. Joseph W. Bohr of Riceville was in charge of the services and arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Ellen Agnes Dynes was born September 5, 1888, on a farm near Riceville, the daughter of John and May Slattery Dynes. She was graduated from St. Mary’s academy in New Haven and taught rural schools in that area. Later she attended Gates business college in Waterloo and became a stenographer.
Her marriage to Paul Emanuel Plunkett took place January 7, 1914, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. They established their home on a farm north of Riceville, remaining there for many years.
Mrs. Plunkett was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by five daughters: Viola Plunkett with whom she made her home in Waterloo, Mrs. Merwin Marr and Mrs. Velma Humphrey of Waterloo, Mrs. Marvin Wetter of Orchard; Mrs. Jerold Quinn of Austin; two sons, Frank of Blooming Prairie, Minn., and Paul Plunkett of Corpus Christi, Tex., 23 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Theresa Hoisington of Charles City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died February 5, 1938, and by her parents.
