Funeral services for William J. Bartell, 37, who died August 30, 1952 in Redondo, California, were held Friday, September 5, at 2 p.m. at the Schroder & Houg chapel with the Rev. O.A. Langehough officiating.

William Jennings Bartell was born February 28, 1915, the youngest son of Chelsie and Hanna Marie Kenneberg Bartell. He attended public schools and graduated from the Waterloo high school.

In 1940 he moved to Santa Monica, California and since that time has worked as an inspector in an aircraft factory. He passed away the 30th day of August, at the age of 36 years and six months.

He leaves to mourn his sudden passing, his father, a sister, Mrs. Georgiana Broadbent of Redondo Beach, California; two brothers, Ivan Bartell of Waterloo and Kenneth Bartell of Cresco, Iowa.

Burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. Langehough in charge of the committal services.

St. Ansgar Enterprise
