ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Ruth Ida Wolff, 83, of St. Ansgar, died Friday (April 19, 2002) at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Byron Northwick officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. at the church on Monday. Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home of St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born in Osage on March 17, 1919, to Lee and Agnes (Seffinga) Hobbs. She was baptized on Sept. 1, 1930, at the Congregational Church in Osage and later confirmed on Feb. 19, 1939, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar.

Ruth was united in marriage to Theodore Wolff on Aug. 1, 1936, at the Congregational Church, Osage. Ruth loved her family and her church.

She has spent the last 33 years as a resident of the Good Samaritan Center.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Gary; two brothers, Hilmar and Merle, and one sister, Mary.

Ruth is survived by two sisters, Beverly Griga, of St. Ansgar, and Carol Power, of Osage; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, and also the loving staff of the Good Samaritan Center.

Ruth was united in marriage to Theodore Wolff on August 1, 1936 at the Congregational Church, Osage. Ruth loved her family and her church. She spent the last 33 years as a resident of the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Griga of St. Ansgar and Carol Power of Osage; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and also the loving staff of the Good Samaritan Center.
