ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Funeral rites will be Saturday at 1:45 p.m. at the home and at 2 at Immanuel Lutheran church for Mrs. Elsie Perau, 62, who died suddenly Wednesday from a heart attack at her home; burial in the Toeterville cemetery.

Born Sept. 21, 1890, at Rose Creek, Minn., Mower County; was baptized and confirmed at the St. Petal's Lutheran Church at Toeterville and attended school in Mower county.

She married to George Perau at Toeterville, June 16, 1908. They established their home in Otranto township and lived there for five years, when they moved to Elgin, North Dakota, living there for five years.

After the death of her husband in 1921 she and her six small children came to St. Ansgar.

She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Orlo Jensen, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Leslie Drunasky, Williams; and Mrs. Elmer J. Houg, St. Ansgar; three sons, Rueben, Charles City; Albin, St. Ansgar, and Orlan of Osage; 14 grandchildren; aged mother, Mrs. Rena Baldner, St. Ansgar; two brothers, Walter Baldner and Oscar Baldner, Austin, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Johansen, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Clara Schuette, Amboy, Illinois.

Last Rites Held For Mrs. Elsie Perau, 62

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie E. Perau, 62, who died at her home in St. Ansgar Wednesday, June 17, were held Saturday, June 20, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Reverend H. C. Wolders officiating.

Mrs. Elsie Emma Dorothea Perau, the daughter of Fred and Rena (Rosel) Baldner, was born September 21, 1890, in Mower County, Minnesota. In early infancy she was baptized in St. Petri Church in Toeterville by Pastor George Landgrebe. At the age of 14 after due instruction she was confirmed in the same church by Pastor Landgrebe. She spent her childhood and youth in Mower County where she also received her education.

On June 16, 1910, she was united in marriage with George Perau in St. Peter Lutheran Church by Pastor Landgrebe. They first lived on a farm near Mona for about six years, then moved to Elgin, North Dakota, where they lived nearly five years. Six children were born to this union. George Perau died February, 1921. Mrs. Perau then moved with her children to St. Ansgar where she spent the rest of her life. She enjoyed good health until about 10 years ago, when she beggar to fail in health and had been ailing frequently since then. Mrs. Perau died Wednesday, June 17, at 12:30 p.m. attaining an age of 62 years, eight months and 28 days.

Her husband, father and one sister preceded her in death.

She is survived by her six children, Della (Mrs. Orlo Jensen) and Rosella (Mrs. Elmer J. Houg) both of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Elda Durnasky of Williams, Iowa, Orlan of Osage, Rueben of Charles City, and Albin of St. Ansgar; also by her mother, Mrs. Rena Baldner; two brothers, Oscar and Walter, both of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Johannsen of Austin and Mrs. Clara Shutte of Amboy, Illinois; also 14 grandchildren and many other relatives.

Interment was in St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery in Toeterville with Reverend Wolters officiating.
