Mrs. Martha Bublitz Funeral Held at Immanuel Lutheran

Funeral services for Mirs. Martha Bublitz, 77, who died Thursday, November 19 (1964) were held Monday, November 23 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Carl T. Wuerffel officiating.

Martha Marie (Diedrich) Bublitz was born April 24, 1887 at Schwanenbeck, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Diedrich. She came tot his country with her parents at the age of four. She was confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton.

On November 7, 1907 she was united in marriage to Reinhold A. Bublitz at the Lutheran Church in Grafton. They made their home on the Bublitz homestead six miles southwest of St. Ansgar. Mrs. Bublitz had been an invalid for the past 47 years. In November of 1944 the Bublitz family moved to St. Ansgar.

She died a the home of her daughter where she had made her home the last five years.

Surviving are four sons and one daughter: Harvey and Arnold of St. Ansgar, Wilmer of Grafton, Mrs. Henry (Eleanor) Boerjan of St. Ansgar and Lawrence; also 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Alvina) Striech of Mannley and Mrs. Lizzie Kirchgatter of Grafton; also many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bublitz was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with Reverend Carl Wuerffel in charge of the committal services.
