Funeral services for Mrs. Ina Bowers, 70, were held Monday, May 20, 1968 at First Lutheran church with the Rev. Don Comnick officiating. Burial was in St. Ansgar Cemetery. Mrs. Bowers died Thursday, May 16, at Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage.

Ina Blanch Bowers, eldest daughter of Knut and Gertrude Knutson was born February 18, 1898 at Mona. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed by Rev. Elmer Moe, Lyle, August 10, 1913. Mrs. Bowers transferred to First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar, February 25, 1940. At the time of her death she was an active member of the First Lutheran church, of the ALCW and of the Deborah Circle and was to receive her life membership pin from the ALCW July 3.

She was married July 16, 1924 to William C. Bowers. This union was blessed with two sons, William Carl and Gaylen Bruce.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wm., who died May 16, 1950.

She is survived by two sons, William at home, and Bruce of Fairfield, Calif. and by three grandchildren; one brother, Orvin Knutson, and two sisters, Bessie Schulze, and Mrs. Gus (Sena) Leraaen, all of St. Ansgar.
