Memorial service for Eleanor Ruth Allen, 90, who died Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held Wednesday, October 17 at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar.

Eleanor was born November 11, 1910 to Herbert and Lorene (Goetsch) Evans in Bonair, Iowa. She was married to Dr. E.K. Allen.

Eleanor is survived by one daughter, Marveen Minish and her husband Robert of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one granddaughter, Roberta Moeschter and husband James of Lino Lakes, Minnesota; one great granddaughter, Nichole Moeschter; and one sister, Esther Schuldt of Mementor, Ohio; four nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dr. E.K. Allen and two sisters.

Burial was Tuesday, October 16, 2001 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Albion township, Howard County, Iowa.
