Immanuel Alfred Anderson, infant child of Bernhard and Pearl Anderson, was born May 27, 1923, baptized at the First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, by Rev. Waldeland, August 19, 1923 and died of inflammation of the bowels on September 16, 1923.

Little Immanuel was buried on Monday, September 17, the funeral taking place at the Bernhard Anderson home. In spite of bad weather and terrible roads, a goodly number of relatives, friends and neighbors were present. In his sermon, Rev. Waldeland comforted the parents with the words of Zechariah 8-5 and following verses. Interment took place at the Evergreen Lutheran Cemetery, north of St. Ansgar.
