Evelyn Schoneman Funeral February 21

Funeral services for Evelyn Marie Schoneman, 80, of St. Ansgar, who died Sunday, February 18, 2001 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, were held Wednesday, February 21 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rock Township, with the Reverend Rose Marie Nack officiating.

Evelyn Marie Schoneman was born on July 8, 1920 in Newburg Township, Mitchell County, to Theresa Johanna Wilhelmine Ahlf and Herman Gustav Ernest Eske. She was baptized August 22, 1920 by Reverend Gemaehlich and confirmed on April 14, 1935 by Reverend C. Kumtf.

Evelyn married William Theral Schoneman on June 1, 1951 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. To this union two sons were born, Randall David and Kenneth Dean.

Evelyn was a life long member of St. John’s and served as a Sunday School teacher, enjoyed visits with friends and gardening.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Kenneth of St. Ansgar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1988, and one son Randall in 1970.

Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery.

ST. ANSGAR - Evelyn Marie Schoneman, 80, of St. Ansgar, died on Sunday (Feb. 18, 2001) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Township, with the Rev. Rose Marie Nack officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.
