Funeral services were held at the Emil Johnson home on Wednesday, December 3, 1947 for their baby son Dennis. Rev. O. A. Langehough was in charge of the services and burial was in the First Lutheran cemetery.

Dennis Merle, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson was born on August 21, 1947 at Osage, Iowa.

During his short stay here he never was in the best of health. He was baptized on August 29 at the hospital by O. A. Langehough. He passed peacefully away on December 2 at 12:25 P.M. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson, two brothers, Darrell and Dean and one sister, Sharon. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Robertson, Lyle and C. J. Johnson, Lyle, besides his aunts, uncles and cousins.
