In the year of 1874 they moved to Osage, Iowa, living there only three months. They then moved to St. Ansgar and settled in November 1874.

Mr. and Mrs. Berg joined the St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in 1976, the Reverend Olsen being their pastor.
