Clarence Wilde Funeral Services Held May 11 At St. John’s Church

Funeral services for Clarenece Wilde, 78, of St. Ansgar, who died Friday, May 8 (1987) at St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held on Monday, May 11 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rock Township, with the Reverend Richard Zellmer officiating.

Mr. Wilde was born April 23, 1909 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, the son of Carl and Lydia (Trachte) Wilde. He attended schools in Rock Township.

September 27, 1931, he married Laura Kronemann and they farmed the family farm for 43 years before retiring to St. Ansgar in 1974.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Sharon) Hanson of St. Ansgar; two sons, Eugene and Robert of rural Osage; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandchild; and two sisters.

Burial was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
