Brothers-in-Law Die Same Night
at Same HospitalST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Two brothers-in-law, living here, died Thursday night at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Walter Hinsman, 66, died following a long illness. William Eske, 74, was taken to the hospital after becoming ill at commencement exercises for his granddaughter.
Walter Hinsman, who had farmed near Grafton, had retired two months ago. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. John Pagel and Mrs. Wilmer Rachut, both living near here.
Funeral services for Mr. Hinsman will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church.
William Eske, also a retired farmer, is survived by his wife a son, Roland, St. Ansgar; a daughter, Mrs. Vernon Kuntz, Grafton; a brother, August, Stacyville; and two sisters, Mrs. Grover Halvorson, St. Ansgar; and Martha Schallock, Osage.
Funeral services for William Eske will be Monday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church.

#2:Wilhelm Emil Eske was born December 13, 1883 in Rock Township, Mitchell County, the son of August and Marie (Miller) Eske. On December 30, 1906 he was married to Augusta Wilde, daughter of Ferdinand and Augusta (Tesch) Wilde. To this union three children were born; Laurine, who died in infancy, Roland (married to Margaret Bowen) of St. Ansgar, Iowa and Laura (Mrs. Vernon Kuntz) of Grafton, Iowa.
Wilhelm and Augusta resided in Rock Township, Section 3, Mitchell County where they farmed for 43 years, after which they retired and moved to St. Ansgar in 1949. They were lifelong members of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rock Township, where Wilhelm served on the church council for many years and was also sexton of the cemetery.
Wilhelm died at the age of 74 on May 16, 1958 and Augusta died at age 91 on November 22, 1978. Both are buried at the St. Johns Cemetery in rural Rock Township.
