Helen Hackenmiller, 97, of Stacyville, Mitchell county, Iowa, died Thursday, May 10, 1988 at the Stacyville Nursing Home where she had lived for 15 years.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 A. M. Saturday, May 21, 1988, at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville. The Reverend Carl Manternach officiated. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meyer, Iowa. Hatten and Sons Funeral Home, Stacyville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hackenmiller, daughter of John and Susan (Huemann) Blake, was born at Meyer on November 1, 1890. She attended school in Meyer and married John Hackenmiller on September 28, 1909 in Meyer. She had lived in that area all of her life.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carl (Catherine) Klapperich, Stacyville; one son, Alfred, Meyer; 12 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Isabelle Halfman, Stacyville.

She was preced in death by her husband, one son, one grandson, three brothers and three sisters.
