Funeral Held At
First Lutheran Church

Funeral services for Alton K. Kittleson, 72, who died at his home in St. Ansgar August 12, 1984, were held August 15 at First Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Charles Bunk officiating.

Alton Kermit “Bud” Kittleson was born September 23, 1911 in St. Ansgar, the son of George and Mathilda (Knudson) Kittleson. He was baptized by the Reverend. M.E. Waldeland December 17, 1911, and was confirmed in First Lutheran Church by the Reverend Olaf A. Langehough May 8, 1927. He was graduated from St. Ansgar High School in 1929.

Mr. Kittleson married Fannie Faas of Stacyville June 2, 1931. Two children were born to them. He was employed by H. L. McKinley & Sons here for 47 years, retiring in 1978 after having suffered a stroke. He was a member of the St. Ansgar Volunteer Fire Department for 30 of those years. He was also active in the Sportsmen’s Club and St. Ansgar Athletics, Inc. and managed the town baseball team for 10 years.

Mr. Kittleson is survived by his wife, Fannie; one son, Alton George of Lake City, Minnesota; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Barbara Jean) Wilder of St. Ansgar; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers, Sherwin of St. Ansgar and Irving of Austin, Minnesota; one sister, Violet Hildreth of Austin, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Burial was in First Lutheran Cemetery here with Reverend Bunk in charge of committal services.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, August 15, 1984 at the First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar, for Alton K. Kittleson, 72, who died on Sunday, August 12, 1984 at his home in St. Ansgar.

The Rev. Thomas Hughes will officiate at the service and burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in St. Ansgar. Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kittleson was born on September 23, 1911 in St. Ansgar, to George and Mathilda (Knudson) Kittleson, and had worked as a parts manager at the Chevrolet dealership in St. Ansgar.

Mr. Kittleson is survived by his wife, Fannie, St. Ansgar; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Barbara) Wilder, St. Ansgar; a son, Alton George, Lake City, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Violet Hildreth, Austin Minnesota; and two brothers, Sherwin Kittleson, St. Ansgar, and Irving Kittleson, Austin, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 15, 1984 at First Lutheran Church in St. Ansgar for Alton Kermit "Bud" Kittleson, 72, who died Sunday, August 12, 1984. Rev. C. Bunk officiated at the service with burial at the First Lutheran Cemetery, St. Ansgar.

Alton Kermit "Bud" Kittleson was born on September 23, 1911 in St. Ansgar, the son of George and Mathilda Knudson Kittleson. He graduated form St. Ansgar High School in 1929.

On June 2, 1931 he was united in marriage to Fannie Faas of Stacyville. He was employed by H.L. McKinley and Sons of St. Ansgar for 47 years, retiring in 1978 after having suffered a stroke.

He was a member of the St. Ansgar volunteer Fire Department for 30 years, serving as fire chief for 15 of those years. He was active in the Sportsmen's Club and the Athletic, Inc. He also managed the town baseball team for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie; one son, Alton George of Lake City, Minnesota, and one daughter, Barbara Jean (Mrs. Roger Wilder) of St. Ansgar; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sherwin of St. Ansgar and Irving of Austin, Minnesota; one sister, Violet Hildreth of Austin, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
