MRS. WALTER HEMANN DIES

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Hemann

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 1988 at Visitation Catholic Church for Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth “Betty”) Hemann, 79, of Stacyville. The Reverend Carl Manternach will officiate and burial will be in the Visitation Cemetery. She died Monday, February 22, 1988 at the Stacyville nursing home.

Visitation will be after 3 P.M. Wednesday, at the Champion Funeral Home, Osage. A rosary will be said at 3 P.M. Wednesday and the wake service will be at 9 P.M. that evening both at the funeral home.

She was born January 29, 1909 in Champaign County, Illinois, the daughter of Pete and Anna (Mayer) Weber.

The family moved to Blue Earth, Minnesota where she grew up.

On January 27, 1951 she married Walter G. Hemann in Meyer. The couple farmed in the Meyer area until retiring to Stacyville in 1979.

She was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Walter G. of Stacyville; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Marie) Hagedorn of Blue Earth; and two brothers, Tony Weber of Blue Earth and Paul Weber of Granada, Minnesota.
