Irene Ethel Wrage was born June 21, 1941, daughter of Claire and Stella Wrage. She was baptized in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, Iowa on September 21, 1941.

For about the last week she had been having a cold, which developed suddenly into pneumonia. In spite of the fact that she was taken to the Park Hospital in Mason City, Iowa to have use of an oxygen tank and other special care; she passed away there on January 13, 1942. Surviving are the parents, a sister, Marianne, and a brother, Robert, who live near the Mitchell-Floyd line; grandfather, Syver Peterson, and grandmother, Mrs. Nina Wrage, besides other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage, and at 1:45 p.m. at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church. Officiating will be the Rev. C. B. Gunderson and burial will be in the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery.
