Chester Williams, 36, passed away at his farm home in Cedar Township last Friday, November 4, 1937 from pneumonia that developed after he had been ill only a few days.
Chester Palmer Williams was born at Meroa, Mitchell County, Iowa on February 8, 1901. He was baptized and confirmed in the Rock Creek

Mr. Williams was an energetic young man, a good farmer and a progressive one. He was also a kind and devoted husband and a father who always had the welfare of his family at heart. Being interested in music and gifted with a pleasing voice, he also considered it his duty, as far as time permitted, to use his talent in singing praises unto the Lord in the choir of his church.
Survivors include: his wife Mae, his daughters, Betty Elaine, Evelyn Frances Billings, and Beverly June Billings; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Williams; his sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Clarice) Olsen; and a brother, Stanley Williams, all of this community.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. O.C. Myhre at the Champion Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. and at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The Rev. J.A. Urness, who had baptized and confirmed Chester, also brought comfort to family and friends by his presence. A male quartet and Mrs. O.C. Myhre furnished appropriate music.
Interment was in the Rock Creek cemetery.
