Funeral services for Roland D. Wilde, 57, who died at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home June 8, were held June 10 at St. John’s Lutheran
church, Rock township, with the Rev. Richard Zellmer officiating.

Roland Diedrich Wilde was born April 19, 1924 in Rock township, the son of Walter A. and Helene A. (Diedrich) Wilde. He was baptized May 18, 1924
at St. John's Lutheran church, and confirmed there March 17, 1940, and was a lifelong member of the St. John's Lutheran congregation.

He attended elementary school at Rock township No. 2 and then was engaged in farming with his father on the home farm in Rock township. He retired from active farming in 1970, but continued to live on the home farm until the fall of 1980. He lived with his sister in St. Ansgar for a few months, and then after being hospitalized, was a resident of the Stacyville Community Nursing Home.

Mr. Wilde is survived by one brother, LaVern Wilde of Osage; two sisters, Mrs. Elaine Pike of St. Ansgar and Mrs. Albert (Lois) Beyer of St. Ansgar;
also eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Zellmer in charge of committal services.
