OSAGE, IOWA — Funeral rites will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 p. m., at the Champion funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Mitchell church, with burial in Mitchell cemetery for Mrs. Laura Amelia Schmidt, 68, who died Friday at Nurdock, Minn., at the home of an only daughter, Mrs. Henry W. Lewis.

She was born on February 28, 1886, to William F. and Eliza (Wagner) Duenow in Union township, Mitchell County.

She married William A. Schmidt on May 15, 1917; the couple lived on farm near Mitchell

She leaves one daughter; one grandson; seven sisters: Mrs. Otto Seefeld, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Natilda Smith, North Hollywood; Calif.; Mrs. O. F. Decklever, Osage; Mrs. Ray Thorson, Grand Rapids, Minn.; Mrs. Philip Kearney, Tacoma Park, Maryland; Miss Esther and Miss Grace Duenow, Los Angeles; three brothers: Oscar, Los Angeles; Albert, St. Ansgar; and Walter, Lyle, Minnesota.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Rachut and an infant sister.
