ST. ANSGAR, IOWA - Funeral services will be conducted at 2: P.M. Sunday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Toeterville for Mrs. Gus Stelter, 68. She died Thursday, August 22, 1957, at Memorial Hospital, Osage, following a lingering illness.

She and her husband had retired to St. Ansgar 13 years ago after farming in Otranto vicinity for many years. Her husband is in a rest home in Austin, Minnesota.

Mrs. Stelter was born in the Rock Creek area south of here.

Survivors include her husband, a son, Lawrence, Otranto; two daughters, Mrs. John Callahan and Mrs. Bradford Larson, both of Austin; two brothers, Martin Schroeder, St. Ansgar, and Adolph Schroeder, Bruce, South Dakota, and a sister, Emma Perau, St. Ansgar.

Burial will be in the Toeterville Cemetery.

Mary A. Schroeder was born March 1889 near St Ansgar, Mitchell, Iowa to Albert Gustav Schroeder and Anne E. Kuckhahn, the second of their four children.

Mary married Gustav W. Stelter before 1920 at St Ansgar, Mitchell Co, Iowa. The couple had 3 children: Lucille (b 1921); Lawrence (b 1922) and Bernice (b 1931).

1940: Gus W. Stelter 53, Mary A. Stelter 51, Lawrence G. Stelter 18,Bernice M. Stelter 9.

Died August 22, 1957 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and is buried at the St Peter Cemetery, Toeterville, Mitchell, Iowa.
