Susan L. Kline, 53, of St. Ansgar, died Sunday, February 24, 2002, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.
She was born on October 6, 1948, to Claire and Dorothy Brasch. She graduated from St. Ansgar High School and graduated from University of Northern Iowa with an education degree.
On July 6, 1971, she married Jerry Kline. She worked as a homemaker and later returned to teaching.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry; two children, Tara (Cory) Thorson, Minneapolis; Eric Kline, Chicago; her parents, Claire and Dorothy Brasch, St. Ansgar; her sisters, Sally Poulos, Mason City; Barbara (Rex) Ray, Chicago; her brother, Bob (Dawn) Brasch, Chanhassen; sisters-in-law, Diane (Roger) Zuehl, Racine, Wisconsin; Nancy (Donald) Salisbury, Osage; Janet (Bob) Bruesewitz, Rochester; Sonja (Tom) Yahnke, Allen Texas; Linda Currens, St. Ansgar; Carol Kline, London; Donella Kline, St. Ansgar; nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her brothers-in-law, Jack and Jim Kline; her mother-in-law, Agnes Heimer; and fathers-in-law, Bill Kline and Wilmer "Buddy" Heimer.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar with the Rev. Jay
Amundson officiating.Interment: St. Ansgar Cemetery.
Funeral Home: Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

ST. ANSGAR - Susan Lynn Kline, 53, of St. Ansgar, died Sunday (Feb. 24, 2002) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, of cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Jay Amundson officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Ansgar Cemetery,
No visitation is planned.
Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St. in St. Ansgar is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Sue Kline Memorial.
Susan Lynn Kline was born Oct. 6, 1948, daughter of Claire and Dorothy Brasch. She lived the majority of her life in St. Ansgar, graduating from St. Ansgar High School, before attending Morningside College in Sioux City, and later graduating with a degree in education from the University of Northern Iowa.
She married Jerry Kline, of St. Ansgar, in her parents' home on July 6, 1971. They spent two years in Dubuque, Iowa before returning to St. Ansgar, where her children, Tara Thorson and Eric Kline, were born.
She worked rearing her children and later returned to teaching, most recently in Lyle, Minn. She was an integral part of the community in St. Ansgar, which will feel her absence deeply.
She will be remembered for her smile, good word, and caring heart. By her family, she'll be remembered as the one to aspire to. Her legacy lives in her children. Tara and Eric, and in the memories of her many friends.
We will miss her dearly, and none more than her husband, Jerry, of 31 years.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her brothers-in-law, Jack and Jim Kline; her mother-in-law, Agnes Heimer; and fathers-in-law, Bill Kline and Wilmer "Buddy" Heimer.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; and two children, Tara Thorson and husband, Cory, of Minneapolis, and Eric Kline, of Chicago, Ill.; her parents, Claire and Dorothy Brasch, of St. Ansgar; her sisters, Sally Poulos, of Mason City and Barbara Ray and husband, Rex, of Chicago, Ill.; her brother, Bob Brasch and wife Dawn, Chanhassen Minn.
On the Kline side, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Diane and Roger Zuehl, Racine, Wis., Nancy and Donald Salisbury, of Osage, Janet and Bob Bruesewitz, of Rochester, Minn., Sonja and Tom Yahnke, of Allen, Texas., Linda Currens, of St. Ansgar, Carol Kline, of London, Minn., and Donella Kline, of St. Ansgar. She is survived also by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
