Funeral services were held Sunday, July 24, 1988 at a Winter Park, Florida, funeral home for Charles A. Erbe, SMSGT USAF of Winter Park, Florida, and formerly of Osage, Iowa. The chaplain James Martinez of Macdill Air Force Base officiated and interment was Tuesday, July 26, 1988 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Mr. Erbe died July 21, 1988 at Winter Park.

He was born in Osage, Iowa to Forest and Bonita Erbe on June 13, 1935. He graduated from Osage High School in 1953. He enlisted in the military and served 28 1/2 years -- all but four in the US Air Force.

His father preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Yeoko Kenny of Winter Park; one son and one grandson; his mother, Bonita Erbe of Fonda, Iowa; three step children and one step-grandchild; his uncle, Clyde Bonnett of Riceville, Iowa; and an aunt, Lucille Rodemaker of Osage; other uncles, aunts and cousins.
