Sophia married William H. Toeter and they had seven children: Margaret, Louisa M. (B: Feb. 1880), George H. (B: Feb. 1882), Alvina (B: March 1884), Laura (B: June 1887), Emma (B: June 1891) and Sophia (B: July 1892).

Burial was in Saint Peter Cemetery, Toeterville,
Mitchell County, Iowa.
