SHOGER, SCHOGER

[Mitchell County Press News, Wednesday, Nov. 1, 1897]

Oscar Shoger died at his home Oct 20th, and the funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church conducted by the Rev. J. Olson of St. Ansgar. He was placed at rest beside his father in the North Rock cemetery. A grave yard beside a green hillside. Two lying still in their peaceful rest. Father and son have passed to the fair Eternity.

Oscar Schoger, aged 15 years, died of rheumatic fever October 20, after a severe illness of three weeks. The remains were interred in the cemetery near St. Ansgar, October 22. The heartfelt sympathy of the community was shown by the large number of friends that followed him to his final resting place.
