Mrs. Ellen Bublitz Funeral Held in California

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Bublitz, 78, who died at the Adventist Hospital in Glendale, California, August 27, 1967, were held at the Salem Lutheran Church in Glendale with graveside services here at the St. Ansgar Cemetery with Reverend Don Comnick officiating.

She was in the millinary business in Northwood, and later in the millinary and ready-to-wear business in St. Ansgar. She was married to Hugo F. Bublitz in St. Ansgar in January, 1921, where they operated a grocery store for about 25 years.

In 1939 they added an ice cream shop which they ran until they moved to California. Her husband was drowned May 15, 1940. Mrs. Bublitz was also preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Earl Ivy of Glendale, California, Mrs. Richard McIntosh of West Covina, California; Mrs. Lindsay Birdneau of La Crescent, California; also eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Bublitz had been a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Glendale, since 1947.
