ST. ANSGAR, IOWA -- Harold W. Fox, 84, of St. Ansgar, died Monday, June 19, 1995, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating. Burial will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home.
Harold W. Fox was born Nov. 28, 1910, in Ellendale, North Dakota.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Fox of St. Ansgar; one daughter, Betty Jensen of Dunkerton; two sons, Howard Fox of St. Ansgar and Albert Fox of Rolling Stone, Minn.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Blanche Griga of Osage and Luella Slaichert of St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Funeral services for Harold Fox, 84, who died Monday, June 19, 1995, will be held today, Thursday, June 22, at the First Lutheran Church here with the Reverend Robert Porisch officiating.
Harold W. Fox was born November 28, 1910 in Ellendale, North Dakota. He was the son of Ray and Pearl Fox. He attended Union No. 5 rural school and Lyle High School.
November 19, 1938 he married Barbara Walitschek.
Harold worked as a mechanic in various locations in st. Ansgar. He was a St. Ansgar school employee for 25 years, and drove a bus for 35 years. Harold and his family have lived in the St. Ansgar community most of their lives. Harold will always be remembered for his love of restoring small engines and large gardens at his home.
Harold is survived by his wife, Barbara of St. Ansgar; two sons, Howard of St. Ansgar and Albert and wife of Rollingstone, Minnesota; one daughter, Betty Jensen and husband of Dunkerton; two sisters, Luella Slaichert of St. Ansgar and Blanche Griga of Osage; two brothers, Leonard Fox and Edgar Fox Jr., St. Ansgar; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one grandson.
Burial will be in the st. Ansgar Cemetery.
