OSAGE, IOWA -- Frank E. Penney, 83, died Wednesday.

He was born in Wilmot, Wisconsin, the son of Arthur Penney. He came to Stacyville township, Mitchell county, Iowa when four years old.

Frank married Carrie Lewis of Orchard; and she died many years ago. A son, Clifford, was killed in action in World War I. He moved to Osage 30 years ago.

Surviving are an adopted daughter, Mrs. Henry Johnson, Osage, who lived with him; two brothers, Sam Penney, Inglewood, California, and Mel Penney, of California, and by a sister, Mrs. Will Bither, Chicago, Illinois.

Burial will be in the Osage cemetery.
