MRS. JANE HOVELSON SUCCUMBS AT OSAGE

OSAGE, IOWA -- Mrs. Jane Hovelson, 89, died at her home here.

She was born in Norway on April 5, 1853, and started for America when she was three weeks old. The family came to Clayton county where they lived for 13 years before coming to Mitchell county. She was married to John Hovelson on March 19, 1871; he died in 1932.

Surviving are three children: Nellie at home, Mrs. Laura Whipple of Osage, and Bert of Waterloo; one brother, Elec Paulson of Osage.

Two sons preceded her in death.
