Walter V. Alley, Sr.

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Walter V. Alley, Sr., 92, of Libertyville, Illinois, and formerly of Riceville, died on Wednesday, June 21, 1995, at the Libertyville, Illinois Manor, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Riceville, with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Conway Funeral Home, Riceville, with a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service.

Mr. Alley was born in Forestburgh, South Dakota, on July 25, 1902.

Survivors include four sons, Walter Jr. of Libertyville, Illinois; Phillip Alley of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; William Alley of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Richard Alley of Skiatook, Oklahoma; one daughter, Adrienne Schweers of Overland Park, Kansas; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella, in 1985; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
