Agnes Heimer, 83

Agnes Trench Kline Heimer, 83, St. Ansgar, Iowa, died Monday, November 27, 2000, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

Agnes was born on January 13, 1917, in Faribault, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Mathilda (Minnie Schulze) Trench of Faribault. On Oct. 19, 1936, Agnes was married to William W. Kline for 27 years. Nine children were born to this marriage.

On December 2, 1967, Agnes was united in marriage to Wilmer (Buddy) Heimer for 27 years. Agnes was a homemaker for many years while the children were home. She waitressed for many years. When the Good Samaritan Center opened Agnes was there to help open the doors to greet the public as one of the employees who help maintain the cleanliness of the facilities.

She worked there until her retirement. Agnes was active in the St. Ansgar Catholic Church working with the Rosary Society. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Agnes enjoyed playing cards, cooking, dancing and fishing. Most important to her were her family and many friends.

She is survived by two sons, John (Carol) of Lyle, Jerry (Sue) of St. Ansgar; five daughters, Diane (Roger) Zuehl, of Racine, Wisconsin, Nancy (Donald) Salisbury, Rudd, Janet (Robert) Bruesewitz, Rochester, Sonja (Thomas) Yahnke, Allen, Texas, Linda Currens, St. Ansgar; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irma Rech, Adams, Esther Tousignant, Faribault, two sister-in-laws, Ruth Trench, Faribault, Gertie Heimer and brother-in-law, Charlie Heimer.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, William W. Kline and Wilmer Heimer; sons, James and an infant son; her parents, one brother and three sisters.

Service: 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ansgar city cemetery, St. Ansgar, Iowa

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
