August Kuehl, age 80, died Friday at a hospital in Independence, Iowa.

A resident of St. Ansgar, Iowa, he is survived by his wife, Ada; two sons, Laverne of Iowa City, Iowa, and Earl of Waterloo, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Adams, St. Ansgar, and Miss Arlene Kuehl, Watertown, Wisconsin.

Services will be held Tuesday at St. Ansgar.
